Metropolis Ministry Award

Selected annually by the Parish Council based on nominations from Annunciation parishioners. The award honors those lay men and women who tirelessly serve the household of God and fellow citizens of the saints for their service to their home parishes. Winners are recognized at a dinner sponsored by the Metropolis in June.

The Archbishop Makarios Lifetime Achievement Award

Each year a parishioner is selected by the Parish Council based on nominations brought forth from parishioners and the Council. Characteristics of recipients: Have shown a lifetime of dedication and service to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Woburn community (should be at least 25 years). Typically a previous winner of the Metropolis Ministry Awards (previously known as Clergy - Laity Awards), but this is not a requirement to be a recipient of this award. Have supported various ministries of the church, examples of which include but are not limited to: serving on the Parish Council, the Philoptochos, teaching Sunday School or Greek School, singing in the choir, serving as a youth advisor or giving of time and talent to other charitable ministries our church supports. Are committed to Annunciation, and our Greek Orthodox faith. Winners are recognized on the Feast Day of the Church in March.
